Concealed Carry Training Means Safe AmericaConcealed carry training promises to be the way to make America safe. Take, for example, Israel in the mid-seventies. Israel was confronted with the very difficult task of solving the problem of school shootings, much like America faces today, except these shooters were terrorists, not troubled students finally snapping under the pressure of psychiatric drugs. Similar problems, certainly, and how did Israel respond? They thoroughly researched all the possibilities and then discovered that the cheapest, easiest and most efficient solution lay in getting the teachers trained and armed. Front Sight Firearms Training Institute, America's largest firearms training school, encourages all of America to realize the wisdom of Israel's decision. 'Well of course they do', say all the skeptics of firearms training. Front Sight will profit enormously if such an initiative were under-taken. But Front Sight's motivation is not profit. Dr. Ignatius Piazza is the founder and director of Front Sight, and he is willing to pay for the training of three teachers of any and all schools in America. Dr. Piazza's desire is to make America safer, and as such, he will pay for the not inexpensive training for the first three teachers from all school districts. As long as they are approved as Safety Officials by the head official of the local school district, they will receive concealed carry training from Front Sight completely free. Dr. Piazza's stance is that while many school districts may not have much money to spend on security, any of them can afford free training for three of their teachers. And once the teachers return, they will pass along the importance of firearms training for every citizen. Dr. Piazza's motive is humanitarian: he hopes to protect and safeguard the nation's schools and students. His motive is a noble one, and we can only hope that America picks up on it. |
